Rio Grande is located about 2 miles (3 km) from Port Antonio, the capital of Portland Parish in eastern Jamaica. You can get to Rio Grande by taking a boat from the Errol Flynn Marina in Port Antonio1. The boat ride takes about 10 minutes and costs around $10 USD per person2. Alternatively, you can rent a kayak or a paddle board and paddle your way to the river3. The journey is scenic and peaceful, as you pass by the Titchfield Peninsula and the Blue Lagoon3. Along the way, you can admire the stunning views of the turquoise water, the green hills, and the historic fortifications2.
