Plumb Point Lighthouse is a modern lighthouse that is located in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. The lighthouse was built in 1853 and has a white cylindrical tower that is 21 meters (69 feet) tall.
The lighthouse is still operational and has a rotating beacon that flashes every 10 seconds. The lighthouse is situated on a rocky promontory that offers a spectacular view of the Kingston Harbour, the largest natural harbour in the Caribbean. Plumb Point Lighthouse is an attractive and functional place to see the maritime activity, the city skyline, and the sunset.

Plumb Point Lighthouse is located about 10 km (6.2 miles) from the center of Kingston, a vibrant city that has many attractions, shops, restaurants, and nightlife options. You can get there by car or taxi along the Palisadoes Road that runs along the coast. The road is smooth and straight, but can be busy and noisy at times. The lighthouse is located at the end of a dirt road that branches off from the main road near the Norman Manley International Airport.
